Ocean Queen Classic Event Information 2025
Date: Saturday 29th March, 2025.
Location: Woonona Beach, NSW - Preferred site.
Northside (Bulli side) and North Bellambi Beach alternate locations.
Time: All competitors to attend and meet 7am. First heat 7.30am sharp.
Entry fees: $75 for Junior and $100 for Open Surfers. All paid participants to receive an event T-shirt and goodie bag worth over $200. No fee for Rising Queens participants.

Prize pool: Up to $10,000 for Junior and Open surfers.
All invited athletes (all divisions) must submit their entries and surfer profiles via liveheats.com before the March 8th deadline to secure their place. Failure to do so will result in an opening for waitlisted surfers.
Wildcard entrants to enter via Liveheats.com only once they have been notified of a successful application.
Rising Queens athletes will need to complete an entry form and surfer profile but there is no fee for these surfers unless they are also competing in the Junior Women category.

Event schedule and draw: Event schedule and draw will be available on liveheats.com. Draw will available 24-48 hours prior to event. Make sure you like and follow our Instagram page “Ocean Queen Classic” for updates and announcements. We will also have a “WhatsApp” chat for any important event information for surfers closer to the event.

7.00am Indigenous Smoke Ceremony followed by an Acknowledgment of Country by Tanya Edwards 7.30am- Surfing Commences 8.00am - Free "Fernwood" Yoga Class on Woonona Beach. 7.30am- 9:30am Junior Women Round 1, Heats 1-6. 9.30am- 11.30am Open Women Round 1, Heats 1-6. 11.30am-12.30pm - "Women Making Waves" Surf Confidence & Breath Workshop with Sonia. 11.30am-12.30pm - Junior Women Round 2, Heats 1-3. 12.30pm-1.30pm - Open Women Round 2, Heats 1-3. 1.30pm - Rising Queens Surf Clinic / Demo by former pro surfers Serena Brooke and Kim Wooldridge 2.00pm- 2.40pm Junior Women Semi Finals. 2.40pm- 3.20pm Open Women Semi Finals. 1.30pm- 1.50pm Heritage Heat and/or optional Expression Session 3.20pm Junior Women Final 3.40pm Open Women Final Presentation at Woonona SLSC to follow. |
2024 OQC Finalists
Event presentation: To be held at Woonona SLSC immediately following the finals. All competitors are expected to attend as there will be special awards, prizes and giveaways as well as a raffle draw.
We are having an after party with DJ “Goonzac and Ellen Jane” so we hope you can all stay. Dinner can be purchased at Nani’s Indonesian Food Truck. Rueb Goldberg Brewing Company will have soft drinks for sale and kegs flowing & wine.
We will have toilet facilities, BBQ, food and beverage trucks and the use of Woonona SLSC for awards presentation and an after party.
Bella from i98fm will be entertaining the crowd with give-aways throughout the day. There will be a live DJ playing showing up to play your favourite tunes and plenty of things to see and do including an Ice Bath by Fernwood. Invite your family and friends along as it promises to be a great day!
